30 grams gold mangalya chain worth Rs. 1.20 lakh recovered, scooter seized

Mysore/Mysuru: Hebbal Police have arrested two chain-snatchers, who had snatched a gold mangalya chain of a woman pillion rider on Dec. 17 and have recovered the gold chain besides seizing the scooter used for the crime.

Following the complaint from the woman, Hebbal Police, who had registered a case, began their investigation and acting on a tip off, the Police on Dec. 27, arrested the two accused in Udayagiri and recovered 30 gram gold mangalya chain worth Rs. 1,20,000. Cops also seized TVS Ntorq scooter used for the crime.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) S. Jahnavi and Vijayanagar Sub-Division ACP Gajendra Prasad guided Hebbal Inspector A. Mallesh, SIs Keerthi and Praveenkumar, CCB SI Kiran Arjun Hampiholi and staff Ravikumar, Mallikarjunappa, Harish, Mahesh Hosamani, Anand, Chandrashekar, Subhanallah Baladara, Sunil, Likith, Narasimharaju, Mahesh, Govindaraju and Kumar in the nabbing, recovery and seizing operation.
