Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised a music concert in memory of Vidwan Chakrakodi Narayana Shastry on July 13 at 6 pm at its premises in Kuvempunagar. 

Vidushi Shruthi S. Bhat  will perform on the occasion accompanied by Vidushi Srilakshmi S. Bhat on violin, Vidwan P.S. Sridhar on mridanga and Vidwan B. Sriram Bhat on khanjira. 

Vidushi Shruthi Bhat has learnt under many distinguished musicians like Sangeetha Kalacharya late Chengelpet Ranganathan, Kalaimamani Srimushnam Raja Rao, Padma Sandilyan and now she is under the tutelage of Dr.S. Sowmya. Shruthi is an MA Music graduate from Madras University. She is also a ‘B’ graded artiste in AIR. She has performed in sabhas like Karthik Fine Arts, Mylapore Fine Arts Society, Sri Krishna Gana Sabha, Mudra, Narada Gana Sabha, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan,  Shanmukhananda Fine Arts and Sangeetha Sabha. She has rendered thematic concerts like Meesu Krishnayyar compositions, Krithis of Saint Thyagaraja, Popular Tamizh Compositions, Post-Trinity Compositions and has won accolades from the critics. She is a recipient of many awards and honours like Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi National Award, Musiri Subramania Iyer Award, Isai Chemmal, Hindu Sa Re Ga Ma: M.S Subbulakshmi Award, etc.

Srilakhmi Bhat is the disciple of Dr. Sriram Parasuram. She has performed in various sabhas and has won several awards.

Vidwan P.S Sridhar, a senior mridanga player, is the disciple of Tumukur B. Ravishankar. 

Vidwan Sriram Bhat is a versatile artiste, who is at equal ease in both Hindustani and Karnatak music. He has demonstrated his proficiency in playing harmonium, mridanga and khanjira equally well.
