Bengaluru: Medical Education Minister D.K. Shivakumar has said that more than a hundred vacant posts in Chamarajanagar District Hospital, which include specialist doctors, staff nurses, paramedical staff and Group-D employees will be filled up soon.
Replying to a question by MLC Sandesh Nagaraj at the Legislative Council here on July 9, Shivakumar said that the hospital has 22 wards with 345 beds. Stating that a 450-bed new hospital will be constructed for Chamarajanagar Medical College, the Minister said Rs.30 crore has been sanctioned for the hospital and tenders have been invited for the construction of the building.
Shivakumar further said that he would visit the hospital along with the District in-Charge Minister and will take measures for addressing the problems.
