Mysore/Mysuru: Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust, Mysuru, is continuing its initiative to conduct monthly cultural events since June 2023 to showcase Indian performing arts under the banner “Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava.”
The ‘Ashada’ season edition in this series will be held tomorrow (July 5) at 5 pm at Champaka Sabhangana in Ramakrishnanagar, showcasing classical dance performance by accomplished artistes from Bengaluru and Mysuru.
The evening will start with a Bharatanatyam feature by Vidu. Sreelakshmi Thejas of Gathishree Performing Arts Centre, Bengaluru along with her disciples.
Thereafter, Mysuru-based disciples of Vidu. Bharathi Vittal, Director, Kalpanaa School of Dance, Mysuru and Bengaluru will present a Kathak feature.
Dr. M.N. Ravi, Senior Consultant and Surgeon, Cardiac Sciences, Narayana Multispecialty Hospital, Mysuru and Dr. Sandhya Ravi, Senior Specialist ENT, Facial Aesthetics and Metabolic Medicine, will be the chief guests, according to a press release from Dr. Nagalakshmi Nagarajan, Managing Trustee, Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust.
