Mysore/Mysuru: Champaka Educational and Cultural Trust, Mysuru, is continuing with its initiative to conduct monthly cultural events since June 2023 to showcase Indian performing arts under the banner “Champaka Rashtreeya Kalaa Utsava.”

 The ‘Maagha’ edition in this series will be held on Saturday (Mar. 16) at 4.30 pm at Champaka Sabhangana in Ramakrishnannagar, showcasing Bharatanatyam performances by accomplished artistes from Bengaluru and Mysuru.

 The evening will start with a Bharatanatyam feature Srimad Adishankara’s “Kanakadhaara” showcasing a popular composition of Adi Shankaracharya by Vidushi Dr. Nagalakshmi Nagarajan, Founder of   Champaka Academy.

Vidushi Veena Gangadhar, Founder and Director of Natya Taranga Nrityala, Bengaluru along with her disciples will present a Bharatanatyam feature.

 Disciples of Vidushi Dr. Sheela Sridhar, Founder and Director of Bharatanjali Nritya and Yoga Trust, Mysuru will present a Bharatanatyam feature as the concluding performance.

 B.N. Pramodh, Co-founder of AcademiAI, Startup Mentor and Dr. Sushma Krishnamurthy, Renowned General & Laparoscopic Surgeon, Mysuru, will be the chief guests.
