Chamundi Hill observes voluntary bandh

Mysore/Mysuru: Chamundi Hill observed a total voluntary bandh today, with all shops and other commercial establishments atop the Hill shut for the day in protest against the sanction for prosecution of CM Siddaramaiah in MUDA scam.

The shop-keepers and Hill residents took out a procession from Chamundeshwari temple to Mahishasura statue atop the Hill, in protest against the Governor’s action and in support of CM.

However, the famed Chamundeshwari Hill temple was open for devotees as usual.

Chamundi Hill GP President Nagamma, Vice-President Ravi, former President Bharath Kalaiah, local leaders Manjunath, Shambhulinga, Mahadevaswamy, Manikumar, Chetan, Sannamada Nayaka, Shivaram Nayak, Doreswamy, Mohan, Basavaraju, Narayan, Jairam and others took part in the protest.
