Chamundi Hill parapet walls defaced

July 15, 2017

At a time when the District Administration is installing gates at the entrances of Chamundi Hill to prevent night entry and illegal activities, a few social media posts showed yesterday that the parapet walls leading up to the iconic Hill has been vandalised by some people with graffiti. The walls, along with structures on the steps, have recently been freshly painted by the authorities and voluntary organisations before the start of auspicious Ashada Shukravara and Chamundi Vardhanti. Some social media posts have suggested that the authorities must not only install the gates but also watch out for such activities that damage the beauty of the Hill.
