‘Chamundi Run’ held in city

Palace Sports Club, in association with Lions Club, had organised ‘Chamundi Run’ 2K and 4K run to mark the Independence Day and National Sports Day celebrations, here yesterday. Event included 2-km run for Primary School Boy and Girls and 4-km run for High School Boys and Girls.

The event was flagged off by former Minister G.T. Devegowda and MCDCC Bank President G.D. Harish Gowda at Ramakrishnanagar Circle.

Bigg Boss Season 6 winner Shashikumar, International athlete Dhanugna, Zilla Panchayat (ZP) Member Birihundi Basavanna, Palace Sports Club Vice- Presidents Kavitha, Ramesh and Arun, Secretary Prakash and others were present.

N. Bharath, who won the first place in the 4K run for High School boys, is the son of Star of Mysore Printing Supervisor Nagendra and Hema couple.

Boys Section: 1. R. Manu (GHS Kumbarakoppal), 2. K. Rona (Pushkarini Vidyashrama) and 3. Preetham (Vidhyadarshini Central School).

Girls Section: 1. Tejaswini (Sri Paramahamsa Vidyanikethana), 2. S. Lasya (Sri Paramahamsa Vidyanikethana) and 3. Manchamma (Government Higher Primary School, Kyathamaranahalli).

4K Run

Boys Section: 1. N. Bharath (St. Joseph School, Jayalakshmipuram), 2. C. Aksash (GHS, Kuvempunagar) and 3. Vinith A. Kashyap (DAV Public School, Mysuru).

Girls Section: 1. S. Keerthana (Sri Nirvana Swamy Krupa Vidyapeeta, T. Narasipur Road), 2. Nambratha (K. Puttaswamy High School, Gokulam), V. Aishwarya (Sri Nirvana Swamy Krupa Vidyapeeta, T.N. Pur Road).
