Bengaluru: The Assembly election fever seems to have gripped the city with its three Constituencies — Chamaraja, N.R and K.R. — all set to be the playground for the three main political parties namely Congress, BJP and JD(S) with one more party likely to enter NR as it happened in the last 2013 election.
While the frontrunners are known in all these three Constituencies from the three mainline parties, there are new challengers too.
According to sources, the BJP which is now looking for a suitable candidate for the NR Constituency, as its expected candidate B.P. Manjunath, who had lost last time, is not interested and other aspirants are found not suitable, the State BJP is said to have preferred S. Chandrashekar, Chairman of MDCC Bank (Mysuru and Chamarajanagar), a former BJP member and now in Congress, who is willing to contest as BJP candidate. He is likely to join the BJP this evening in Bengaluru.
