‘Charaka’ handloom products expo-cum-sale from May 8

Mysore/Mysuru: An expo-cum-sale of natural colour pure cotton handloom products by Charaka Mahila Vividoddesha Kaigarika Sahakara Sangha (Charaka Women’s Multipurpose Industrial Cooperative Society), Heggod-Bheemanakone, near Sagar, will be held at Jagannatha Centre for Art and Culture (JCAC) in Vijayanagar, Mysuru, from May 8 to 10.

Suttur Seer Sri Shivarathri Deshikendra Swamiji will inaugurate the expo-cum-sale at 12 noon on May 8.

Mysuru Book Clubs Charitable Trust Founder Shubha Sanjay Urs will be the chief guest. Charaka Founder & Theatre Artiste Prasanna will be present.

Kaashayavastra, readymade garments, North Karnataka handloom sarees, natural colour bed spreads, Jamdani sarees, kurtas, shirts and home decoration items, will be available at the expo.

The expo-cum-sale, organised under the Pavitravastra Scheme, will be open to public from 10.30 am to 7.30 pm.
