Charred body found in agri field

May 15, 2023

Mysore/Mysuru: A charred body of a human has been found at an agricultural field in Yelwal village of the taluk on May 5.

Sathyanarayana, the owner of the agricultural field, located opposite St. Joseph’s School on Mysuru-Hunsur Road in Yelwal, was cleaning the field on May 5, when he noticed the charred body in a pit.

In his complaint, Sathyanarayana has stated that some miscreants may have murdered a person and have burnt the body in their bid to destroy evidence. It is not known whether the body is that of a man or a woman.

Yelwal Police, who have registered a case based on the complaint, have urged the kith and kin of the deceased, if any, to contact Yelwal Police Station on Ph: 0821-2402222.
