‘Chavadi’ novel released

March 26, 2024

Mysore/Mysuru: Tragedies do occur when there is a blend of old and new ideologies, said retired Professor Mahadev.

Speaking after the releasing the novel ‘Chavadi’ authored by Krishna Janamana at Sriranga auditorium in Rangayana premises recently, he said unfortunately people were not ready to accept the ideology of ‘we are all one’ as every individual thinks differently and practices different culture and tradition.

“‘Chavadi’ sends out a message to the society about the need for unity considering various factors. The novel can be read in a couple of hours but the thought process of writing this book is different from others. It introduces readers to rural environment, people and their practices,” he said.

Prof. N.M. Talwar, Project Director, Centre of Excellence for Studies in Classical Kannada, CIIL, Publisher Samskruthi Subramanya, Christ College Lecturer Dr. H.R. Mahesh and others were present at the event organised by Desiranga Samskruthika Trust.
