Chief Minister’s Media Co-ordinator Gurulingaswamy passes away

Bengaluru: H.B. Gurulingaswamy Holimath (46), Media Co-ordinator of Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, collapsed and passed away while working out in a gym yesterday morning.

He leaves behind his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives and friends.

Family sources said that Gurulingaswamy complained of severe chest pain while working out in the gym and collapsed. Though he was rushed to a private hospital at Nagarabhavi, the doctors said that he was brought dead.

Gurulingaswamy began his journalism career with Kannada Prabha and has also worked for various media organisations in Hubballi and Bengaluru. He was working with CM Bommai ever since the latter became the     Home Minister.

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Speaker Vishveshwara Hegde Kageri, former Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, several Ministers and others have condoled the death of Gurulingaswamy.

His last rites were performed at Ramdurg in Belagavi district this morning.
