Chiguru: Cultural and sports contests held

Youth for Seva had organised ‘Chiguru,’ cultural and sports competitions at Vijaya Vittala Educational Institutions premises in Saraswathipuram on Jan.20. A total of 1,500 participants including 1,200 students from 24 Government Schools, 50 judges and around 250 volunteers from across Mysuru and rural areas were part of the event. Senior Eye Specialist and Family Physician Dr. H.R. Manikarnika is seen lighting the lamp to inaugurate the contests as (from left) Venkatesh Murthy, Founder and Organising Secretary of Youth for Seva, H. Kushi, Yoga Champ, Cr. Meghana Sharath, Chairperson, Mysore Heritage Ladies Circle-109 and N. Raghavan of Raghulal & Co. look on.
