Child Helpline officers prevent marriage of minor girl

Mysuru: Child helpline officers have prevented the marriage of a minor girl in N.R. Police Station limits yesterday.

Acting on a tip off, the helpline officers visited Sahara Function Hall and stopped the marriage of a 16-year-old girl with one Allabaksh. The officers, who rescued the minor girl, sent her to Girls Balamandira in Siddhartha layout.

The N.R. Police who have registered a case in this regard, have served notice to the families of the minor girl and the groom.
