Children unleash talents at ‘Royal Kids Fest’

Mysuru:  Bherunda had organised ‘The Royal Kids Fest’ at the Palace premises here on Nov.18 where over 250 children from various schools came out with their talents in writing and drawing.

Under the theme ‘Our Parents,’ the children expressed in writing about their parents’ love and affection along with the importance of parents in the child’s life.

Expressing poetically on ‘Our Maharajas,’ the children wrote excellently on the rule and contribution of the Maharajas through simple poems.

Coming out through drawings under the theme ‘Our Heritage,’ the children drew excellent sketches on Mysuru Dasara, Ganda Bherunda, Mysore Palace, Zoo Garden, Chamundi Hill Temple, Nandi statue, St. Philomen’s Church and many more.

The contest was held under three categories — 1st to 4th standard, 5th to 7th standard and 8th to 10th standard. Three prizes were given under each category.

Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja  Wadiyar of the Royal family mingled freely with the children and distributed prizes.

Palace Board Deputy Director T.S. Subramanya, Artist Baadal Nanjundaswamy and others were present.
