Mysore/Mysuru: Christ College, located in Srirampura, Mysuru, hosted its Graduation Ceremony ‘Samavarthana -2026’ in a grand manner at the College auditorium recently.
Ravindra Srikanthan, former Chairman, CII Karnataka State Council and Managing Director of SM Technology Limited, was the chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he urged students to build themselves as a “brand” through hard work, discipline and determination. He encouraged the graduates to transform challenges into opportunities and move ahead with confidence.
The programme began with lighting of the lamp by chief guest Ravindra Srikanthan, College Principal Rev. Fr. Jinto Jose, Vice-Principal Rev. Fr. Rejo Jacob, Academic Coordinator W.S. Johnson and student representative Shwetha.
Rev. Fr. Rejo Jacob welcomed. Rev. Fr. Jinto Jose highlighted the importance of college life and the role of knowledge, values and experiences in shaping their future.
A total of 215 students from the Departments of Commerce, Business Administration, Computer Science, Humanities and Social Sciences were conferred their degrees at the ceremony.
Students who excelled academically were also honoured. Archana from Computer Science, V. Nithya from Commerce and Sister Jenny Cherry from Humanities and Social Sciences were recognised as toppers with certificates and prizes.
In a notable achievement, Sister Jenny Cherry of the Journalism Department received five gold medals from the University of Mysore. She was also awarded Rs. 10,000 by the College and Rs. 10,000 by St. Thomas Society. S. Revathi received a cash award of Rs. 4,000 from the institution and the Society.
Student representative Regan administered the oath while Nathaniel Solomon shared his college journey.
