CIC disposes 14 RTI cases

Mysuru: Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Dr. Suchetana Swaroop disposed of 14 cases out of the 27 related to Right To Information (RTI) issues that came up for hearing at the Court Hall of the DC’s Office, here this morning.

The cases were pertaining to Agriculture, Gram Panchayat, Taluk Panchayat and Revenue Department. The date for the remaining cases has not been fixed and this will be taken up at Bengaluru.  Mysuru Taluk AC Shivegowda and Tahsildar T.Ramesh Babu escorted the CIC.

RTI workshop: A workshop on RTI Act and its problems was held later in the afternoon at the DC Office auditorium where the problems and issues related to RTI were discussed and an interaction followed. The RTI activists and the public participated in the workshop.
