CII Mysuru’s clean-up drive

June 5, 2026

Mysuru, June 5- The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru Chapter, in collaboration with Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) and Young Indians (Yi), will lead a clean-up drive on Saturday (June 6) to mark World Environment Day.

Under the theme “Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future,” the initiative aims to promote environmental awareness, responsible waste management practices and community participation in creating a cleaner and greener Mysuru.

Building on the success of the plastic clean-up drive organised in 2025, this year’s initiative seeks to further strengthen collective action towards environmental sustainability and responsible community engagement.

The clean-up drive will be conducted from 7 am to 9 am in identified locations across the Mysuru Ring Road, followed by an awareness session at JK Grounds from 9.30 am to 10 am.

The session will gather environmentalists, educators, industry leaders and students to discuss sustainable urban practices.

A key highlight of this year’s celebrations is the launch of the “Adopt-a-Stretch” Road Adoption Initiative in partnership with MCC, aimed at positioning Mysuru among the cleanest cities                                          in the country.

Under this initiative, member industries will adopt road stretches surrounding their premises, while MCC will support the upkeep of these stretches and curb unauthorised waste dumping through strict enforcement measures using technology.

CII Mysuru invites industries, educational institutions, resident associations, NGOs and citizens to participate in the initiative and support the collective vision of a cleaner, greener and more sustainable Mysuru.
