CII’s Environmental, Social and Governance conference at JSS

Mysuru: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Mysuru Zone, will host the CII Mysuru ESG Conference and Expo 2025 on Apr. 23 at the JSS Technical Institutions Campus, Mysuru.

Themed “Driving Sustainable Transformation: Aligning Business with Sustainability,” the event aims to foster dialogue and provide actionable insights on embedding Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles into core business strategies, operations and governance models.

The day-long conference will convene industry leaders, sustainability professionals, academicians, and key stakeholders to explore emerging trends and best practices in ESG implementation.

The inaugural session will feature speakers, including Dr. C.G. Betsurmath, Executive Secretary of JSS Mahavidyapeetha; Dr. A.N. Santosh Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of JSS Science and Technology University; Sam Cherian, Managing Director of Schevaran Laboratories Pvt. Ltd.; Nagaraja Gargeshwari, Chairman of CII Mysuru Zone; and Sohanjeet Randhawa, Director of Sustainability and Communication at Volvo Group India Pvt. Ltd. and C.P. Ganapathy, Senior Regional Head – Facility, Infosys Ltd.

The first technical session, “Decarbonising Industries: Pathways to Net-Zero Emissions and Resource Utilisation,” will explore sustainable industrial practices, focusing on energy efficiency, carbon reduction and innovation, with speakers from JMS Biotech, Brigade Group, Infosys and Paryaavarneer Engineers.

The second session, “The Business Case for ESG Accounting – Growth, Risk & Compliance,” will cover ESG accounting, regulatory frameworks (BRSR, ESRS, CSRD), digital tools and financial benefits, featuring insights from KPMG, ORB Energy, GovEVA and Automotive Axles Ltd.

Panel Discussion-I will focus on MSMEs, highlighting ESG-readiness, certifications like ZED and Ecovadis and AI-driven tools, with experts from RSJ Inspection Service, Cam-Pro Technologies, RIU.Ai, Global PCCS, and Paryaavarneer Engineers.

The final session, Panel Discussion-II, will address Scope 3 emissions, supply chain metrics and ESG risk management, led by speakers from Bhartiya Skill Development University, Schevaran Cleanfix Academy and EcoMorphosys.
