Citizens watch Wild Karnataka documentary with awe

Mysuru/Mysore: Marking Republic Day celebrations, the Forest Department provided a Wildlife treat to Mysureans, by screening documentary ‘Wild Karnataka’ for free on Sunday, that showcased the rich natural heritage of the State.

The 54-minute documentary, portraying the rich biodiversity and mesmerising wilderness of Karnataka, was screened for free at two centres — Vision Cinemas at Metagalli (two shows) and at DRC Cinemas – BM Habitat Mall in Jayalakshmipuram (three shows).

All the shows at both the venues of screening attracted huge crowds.

DCF Dr. K.C. Prashanth Kumar said that the narration of the captivating stories of Karnataka’s wildlife gave an enthralling experience to every person who watched the documentary.

The documentary was shot by 20 photographers from across Karnataka and was filmed in many well-known as well as less known forests of the State.

Internationally known narrator David Attenborough was the commentator of the documentary, with Grammy awardee Music Director Ricky Kej providing the background music.
