City artist wins National Award

Suresh (in pic), an alumnus of Ravivarma Art Institute, Mysuru, has been selected for the National Award instituted by Lalitha Kala Academy, New Delhi.

Suresh’s painting titled ‘Civil War-2’ has been selected to be exhibited at the 58th National Exhibition of Art at the National Gallery of Modern Art in Bengaluru.

The award carrying Rs. 1 lakh cash prize, citation and a certificate will be presented to him at a function to be organised at a private hotel in Bengaluru on Feb. 24 at 7.30 pm.

Currently, Suresh is working as an Art Teacher in Government High School, Musuvinakoppal in T. Narasipur Taluk.
