Mysuru: Marking the 67th birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha distributed four-wheeled mobility scooters to seven physically-challenged beneficiaries at his office in Jaladarshini Guest House on Hunsur Road here this morning. The beneficiaries included two each from Hunsur and Chamundeshwari Constituencies and one each from Periyapatna, K.R. and N.R Constituencies. The vehicles costing Rs.3.94 lakh have been given from the MP Local Area Fund.

BJP leaders Shivanna, L. Nagendra and  N.V. Phaneesh were present on the occasion.

Cleanliness drive

Meanwhile, over 100 members of City BJP Unit, wielding brooms cleaned the premises of K.R. and Cheluvamba Hospitals here this morning to mark the birthday of the crusader of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

MP Pratap Simha, BJP leaders B.P. Manjunath, L. Nagendra, Phaneesh, Shivanna, Devaraj, H.V. Rajeev, Maruti Rao Pawar, Kautilya Raghu, V. Giridhar, Corporator Nandish Preetham and others participated in the cleanliness drive.
