City bus runs over student’s leg

February 12, 2020

Mysuru/Mysore: A student was seriously injured when a city bus ran over his leg near Kuvempu Statue on Bogadi Road here this morning.

The injured is Kiran, a first year B.Com student at Maharaja’s College in city. He was waiting along with others for the bus to go to his College.

Soon after the incident, angry students staged a protest and alleged that city buses were not stopping at the designated bus stops but were stopping at a farther distance forcing the students to run to catch the bus, sometimes resulting in a fall or injury. Most of these students are bus pass holders.

Kiran has been admitted to K.R. Hospital following the accident.

V.V. Puram Traffic Police have registered a case.
