City coach for African Open MMA Championship

M.N. Vikram, Head coach of Academy of Martial Science at Krishnamurthypuram in city will be participating in the African Open Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championships to be held at Johannesburg’s Brakapan Indoor Sports Centre between Aug. 29 and Sept. 2. He will be a part of Indian contingent selected by AIMMAA.

The event is organised by International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) and Mixed Martial Arts South Africa (MMASA). Sportspersons from African, European and Asian countries are expected to participate. Vikram is the oldest fighter at   41 years to participate in the championships.
