Mysore/Mysuru: Amitha Prakash, a class nine student of Vidya Vardhaka Sangha’s B M Sri Educational Institutions, Kuvempunagar, in the city has been selected to visit Cornell University, New York in USA, where she will attend a training and tournament.

She had won the competition in a workshop conducted by Swami Vivekananda Youth Movement (SVYM), Mysuru in collaboration with Cornell University, New York, USA, from June 12 to 16.

Out of 40 students, five students, including Amitha Prakash were declared as the winners  becoming eligible to visit Cornell University and attend training.

Students from Cornell University were the mentors of the workshop. They  guided students from all over the State including  Mysuru, Udupi, Bengaluru, Mangaluru and  other cities, who participated in the workshop. Lectures and mock debates were conducted before the actual competition, according to a press release.
