Mysuru: Fourteen MMA athletes of the Academy of Martial Science (AMS) and 4 athletes of SMITE Academy, under the aegis of Mysore Combat Sports Association represented Karnataka at the 9th MMA India National Championship-2026 held at Indore in Madhya Pradesh recently won 2 gold, 7 silver and 6 bronze medals.
The event was sanctioned by MMA India National Federation and hosted by Madhya Pradesh State Associations.
Team Karnataka finished on a impressive note with a total medal tally of 19 medals.
Team AMS and SMITE is trained by IMMAF certified (International Mixed Martial Arts Federation) MMA coaches Kavyashree, Samarth Vikram, Kiran and Ayan Shariff and mentored by Kru. Vikram, Founder Director, Academy of Martial Science, Team India Coach and IMMAF Youth Commission Chairman.
