City NCC cadet at R-Day Parade

Mysore/Mysuru: Sergeant Eeshan Karve, a 9th grade student of Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama, Mysuru, took part as an NCC cadet at the Republic Day (R-Day) Parade-2026 and the Prime Minister’s Rally in New Delhi recently.

Following a rigorous three-month selection process, Eeshan was chosen as the only student from the Junior Division to represent the Mysuru Zone.

He represented the States of Karnataka and Goa at the R-Day Parade and PM’s Rally under the guidance of Second Officer N. Ravikumara, Associate NCC Officer of the same school.

Eeshan is the son of Suhas and Prathima Karve, residents of Vijayanagar 4th Stage, Mysuru.

Republic Day Parade is the largest and most important of the parades marking the three-day R-Day celebrations every year on Jan. 26 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi. The first parade was held in 1950.
