City of Lights beckons tourists

October 21, 2023

A breath-taking view of the illuminated Mysuru city along with the resplendent Mysore Palace clicked by Star of Mysore Photographer M.N. Lakshminarayana Yadav from atop Chamundi Hill last night. The colourfully lit royal city is attracting Dasara tourists and local residents in hordes to witness the illumination.

The Gaali Mantapa or Watch Tower (ancient Stone Mantapa) atop Chamundi Hill has also been illuminated as part of Navarathri celebrations which conclude on Oct. 24. People have been thronging the hilltop in the evenings to enjoy the panoramic view of the dazzling city amidst the cool breeze and also clicking photos and selfies in front of the Mantapa.
