City Police conducts blood donation camp

Mysuru: The City Police conducted a blood donation camp “Jeevadhara Raktha Nidhi’ as part of the 29th Road Safety Week at Nanjaraja Bahadur Choultry here this morning.

DCP (crime and traffic) Mahaninga Nandagavi, after inaugurating the camp, told Star of Mysore that the blood collected was meant for the poor and needy. The public and the Police both donated blood.

Devaraja Traffic Inspector Chandrashekar, Sub-Inspectors and Traffic Police participated in the camp which went on till 2 pm.

Bike Jatha: Meanwhile, the K.R. Police took out a bike jatha wearing helmets, as part of the Road Safety Week, this morning and the theme this year is “Sada Suraksha Jeevan Raksha.” The Road Safety Week, which began on Apr.23, will end on Apr.29.
