City Professor for Media Summit in Delhi

Mysore/Mysuru: Prof . M.S. Sapna, Professor, Department of Journalism and Communication, University of Mysore, has been invited for the 2-day APAC Media Summit at Delhi on Sept. 20 and 21. This annual meet is for individuals, media educators and journalists who have been fighting misinformation and fake news across the Asia Pacific Region.

This two-day event will update and train the fact checkers to contribute more on the media literacy and information ecosystem in India. The event is hosted by Google News Initiative and Data Leads. This summit will have around 60 representatives across the country and will give exposure towards more verification, fact checking and research in this area.

Prof. Sapna is a certified Google fact checker since 2 years and has conducted more than 45 workshops across the country.
