City Professor presents research paper at World Congress of Pharmacy in Brisbane

Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Jinesh Bahubali Nagavi, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Sarada Vilas College of Pharmacy, Mysuru, presented a research paper at the 81st FIP World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences conference organised by International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) at Brisbane, Australia recently.  The theme of the conference was Pharmacy building a sustainable future for healthcare — Aligning goals to 2030. Dr. Nagavi’s presentation was on “Pilot project demonstrating the role of pharmacist in outpatient setting in India”.

The conference was attended by more than 2,000 delegates from 90 different countries around the world. Dr. Nagavi’s presentation was well appreciated by hundreds of scientists and fellow pharmacy professionals around the globe.

The conference topics were Global solutions for global health challenges, together for better health outcomes, Innovations in the modern world — creating opportunities for pharmacy.

Dr. Nagavi received grants from Karnataka State Pharmacy Council (KSPC), Bengaluru, HESDAR Centre, Mysuru and in collaboration with University of Findlay, Ohio, USA to attend the conference.

During his visit, Dr. Nagavi also visited University of Queensland, Griffith University at Brisbane and Monash University at Melbourne for research collaborations. Dr. Jinesh Nagavi is also the Honorary coordinator at HESDAR Centre, Mysuru. He is the eldest son of Dr. B.G. Nagavi, former Principal of JSS College of Pharmacy, Mysuru and former Dean at RAK College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, RAKMHSU, UAE.
