Mysore/Mysuru: Dr. Purnima Madhivanan and Dr. Kiranmayee Muralidhar of city’s Public Health Research Institute of India, presented papers at the Consortium of Universities for Global Health (CUGH) at Washington DC in USA recently.
This year’s CUGH theme, ‘Equity, Climate Change and Microbial Threats,’ attracted more than 2,000 scientists, students and leadership from NGOs, Government and private sectors to share strategies for adapting to climate change and methods for mitigating its impact on public health.
“Climate change won’t wait. India is a leader in technology and pharmaceuticals. We should be moving forward on all fronts to address these new public health threats,” Dr. Purnima said.
