City skaters to take part in Asian Games trials

City’s three roller skaters — Varsha S. Puranik, Rea Elizabeth Achaia and Omkar Yograj — will be taking part in the Asian Games Skating selection trials at Noida today.

Varsha Puranik is a doctor working at Cauvery Fortis, Mysuru. Rea Elizabeth Achaia is a 2nd PUC student at IMSCI, Mysuru. Omkar Yograj is a student of NIE,  Mysuru.

All the three skaters are trained by Ekalavya award winner and Indian coach K. Srikantha Rao of Rao Roller Skating Club, Mysuru.

Those selected in this trials will be part of the Indian team which will participate in the Asian Games to be held at Jakarta in Indonesia.
