City Traffic Police Automation Centre must update its data

July 10, 2019

Sir,

From the traffic violation notice issued by “The Enforcement Automation Centre, Mysore City Traffic Police”, it is evident that they have not updated their database with the correct and latest information on vehicle ownership.

Though the website of Mysuru Regional Transport Office displays latest and correct information on vehicle ownership, recording the change in ownership, our Traffic Police are sending the traffic violation notice to the previous owner. By doing so Traffic Police Department is losing its legitimate revenue.

If both Traffic Cops and RTO work in tandem, many traffic rules violation issues can be properly addressed. If these two Departments can form a Co-ordination Committee and have at least bi-monthly meetings, we can see many traffic related issues resolved.
