City Traffic Police book footpath encroachers, road rule violators

Mysore/Mysuru: Mysuru City Traffic Police, continuing their drive against footpath encroachers in city, have booked a total of 11 cases (9 under Karnataka Police Act and 2 under Indian Motor Vehicle Act) besides collecting a total fine of Rs. 2,000 from the violators on Sept. 1.

Also, the Traffic Police conducted a special drive against triple riders and one-way rule breakers on the same day and have booked a total of 148 cases against the offenders.

Footpath encroachment clearance drive was conducted by Krishnaraja (KR), Narasimharaja (NR), Siddarthanagar and V.V. Puram Traffic Police on New Kantharaj Urs Road, Kabir Road, Kendriya Vidyala Road and Vijayanagar Water Tank Road.

DCP (Crime and Traffic) M.S. Geetha Prasanna and ACP (Traffic) S.E. Gangadharswamy, guided Inspectors and staff of all Traffic Police Stations in the encroachment clearance and special drives.
