City Whistlers make it to India and Asia Book of Records

In a unique event, a group of 150 Indian whistlers have made it to India and Asia Book of Records for ‘Most People Whistling Together.’ The group, under the umbrella of Indian Whistlers’ Association (IWA), successfully attempted the National Records by whistling two patriotic songs — ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’ and ‘Hum Honge Kamyab’ on Feb.25 at Cochin. The result of Limca Book of Records, a third feat which was simultaneously attempted, is awaited. Picture shows Mysuru youths — M.V. Subbakrishna (No.147), Head-Competency Centre/ESK Labs at Excelsoft Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Mysuru and V. Nikhil Prabhu (No.104), Senior Manager – Finance at Automotive Axles Limited, Mysuru — who were part of the team along with the jury Ashok Kumar Sharma (Asia Book of Records) and Radha Sharma (India Book of Records).
