City’s Rishitha wins bronze in 4×100 mts relay

Mysuru: With Mysuru still celebrating the achievements of Asian Games gold medallist Pranavi Urs and Commonwealth Games bronze medallist K.S. Shilpa, the city has got yet another reason to rejoice with athlete M. Rishitha winning a bronze medal in the 4×100 mts relay at the ongoing Asia-Pacific Deaf Multi-Sports Championship – 2026 organised by Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation at Penang, Malaysia,  this afternoon.

The team of Dipa Mondal, M. Rishitha, Sanya Dongre and Sudha Anbazhagan representing India in the 4×100 mts relay won the bronze medal.

A student of Sri Jayachamarajendra PU College, Mysuru, Rishitha is the daughter of H.S. Darshini and T.C. Manjunatha, residents of J.P. Nagar in city.

She is currently training under M.G. Radesh, Head Coach of Team Optimum Power.

Rishitha finished 7th in both 100 mts and 200 mts sprint at the championship.
