City’s Taekwondo athletes participate in Guinness World Record attempt

Mysuru: Four young Black Belt Taekwondo athletes from Mysuru Sai Taekwondo Academy participated in Guinness World Record’s ‘Largest Taekwondo Lesson’ official attempt held at Gachibowli Indoor Stadium, Hyderabad, recently.

The athletes, who took part in the record attempt include Sameeksha (Class 10), Kushali (Class 8), Chayank (Class 6) and Advika (Class 4), all students of Kendriya Vidyalaya Mysuru.

A total of 533 participants took part, surpassing the previous benchmark of 302 participants. The event was organised by Jayanth Reddy International Taekwondo Academy (JRITA) in association with Suman Art Theatres.

City’s young athletes are trained by Master DVS Pratap Babu, 5th Dan Black Belt, of Mysuru Sai Taekwondo Academy.
