Mysuru: Ganabharathi has organised a Classical Flute Concert by Vidu. Smitha Srikiran tomorrow (Mar. 14) at 6 pm at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar.
She will be accompanied by Vidu. C.V. Shruthi on violin and Vid. Sunil Subramanya on mridanga.
Profile: Vidu. Smitha Srikiran started learning music from her mother and guru Vijaya Subramanyam and learnt flute from guru late Vid. A.V. Prakash. Presently, she is practising advanced music under the guidance of guru Dr. R.N. Srilatha.
Smitha is an ‘A’ grade artiste of both Doordarshan and Akashvani. She has been awarded young scholarship from Sangeeta Nritya Academy and Centre for Cultural Resources and Training (CCRT). She has performed in many prestigious platforms. In 2024, she gave performance in America and Europe.
Smitha Srikiran also had the opportunity to perform in G20 Summit held in India during September 2023 which was attended by heads of State of G20 countries and the President and the Prime Minister of India.
