CM announces Rs. 5 lakh relief

Mysore/Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has expressed deep sorrow over the drowning of six persons in River Cauvery at K.R. Nagar. In a message posted on ‘X’, he said it was painful to learn that six lives were lost while swimming in the river. He prayed for the departed souls to rest in peace and for their families to find the strength to bear the loss.

The CM also announced a compensation of Rs. 5 lakh to each bereaved family and said the Government would extend support to ensure they do not face financial hardship. He further wished a speedy recovery to those undergoing treatment in the hospital.
