Para athlete K.S. Shilpa of Kanchugaranakoppal village in K.R. Nagar taluk, Mysuru district, who won a bronze medal in shot put F57 category in the recently concluded Commonwealth Games-2026 at Glasgow in Scotland, was felicitated by Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar at his office in Vidhana Soudha in Bengaluru this morning. Shilpa was also presented with two cheques (Rs. 5 lakh for training and Rs. 15 lakh cash reward announced by State Government) on the occasion. Deputy CM and Minister for Youth Empowerment and Sports Dr. G. Parameshwar, Karnataka Olympic Association President & MLC Dr. K. Govindaraj and KR Nagar MLA D. Ravishankar are also seen.
