The three-day State-level Sports Meet for the State Government Employees will be inaugurated by Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy at Chamundi Vihar Stadium here tomorrow (Jan.28).

The three-day Meet will see sports-persons, who have secured first and second place in the group event of the District-level Sports Meet, take part from across the State. Nearly 7,000 sports persons including 1,500 women will be seen in action in 28 different disciplines.

Events will be held in basketball, cricket, hockey, football, tennis, volleyball, swimming, carrom, kabaddi, table tennis, wrestling, weightlifting etc.

Events will be held in two age categories — Below and Above 45 years for men and below & above 40 years for women.

The organisers will also felicitate the outstanding sports persons who have excelled during the last year during the inaugural function.
