Mysuru: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will be visiting H.D. Kote tomorrow to take part in 134th Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations and unveil the statue of Dr. Ambedkar at a function organised by the District Administration and Zilla Panchayat at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Bhavan in H.D. Kote town.
The CM, who will leave HAL Airport, Bengaluru, in a helicopter at 10.30 am, will land at the Taluk Stadium in H.D. Kote at 11.30 am. He will take part in Ambedkar Jayanti event at 11.30 am. The
statue, costing Rs. 50 lakh, is made from an alloy of five metals.
Later, the CM will lay foundation stone and launch development works taken up by various Departments at a cost of Rs. 1.75 crore and also distribute benefits to beneficiaries at a programme to be held at the Government Pre-University College Grounds.
District Minister Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa, Ministers Satish Jarkiholi and K. Venkatesh, MP Sunil Bose, MLA Anil Chikkamadu and others will be present.
At 4 pm, the CM will leave H.D. Kote in a helicopter and arrive at Mysore Airport in Mandakalli at 4.20 pm.
The Chief Minister will stay overnight in Mysuru and leave for Bengaluru in a special plane on May 13 at 11 am and reach HAL Airport at 11.25 am, according to a communication from K. Chiranjivi, Officer on Special Duty to Chief Minister and Ex-Officio, Special Secretary to Government.
