Chief Minister Siddharamaiah yesterday for the time used his debit card to withdraw Rs.10,000 cash from the Hebbal branch of the Mysuru Merchants Co-operative Bank ATM after inaugurating it.
It is learnt that Siddharamaiah decided to use a debit card issued to him on the spot after Bank President M. N. Sumana reminded him that he has cash deposit of Rs. 60,000 as dividend. “I had applied for a Rs. 25 lakh loan from the bank because I am an account holder in this bank and needed it for constructing a house in Vijayanagar. Former General Manager Ekambara Naidu had sent me a notice to make the payments but I couldn’t do it and I finally sold that house,” he recalled.
