‘Co-operative Jatha’ marks valedictory of 66th All India Co-operative Week

Folk troupes performing during ‘Co-operative Jatha’ taken out by Co-operative Societies in city this morning.

Mysuru: Marking the valedictory of the 66th All India Co-operative Week, a ‘Co-operative Jatha’ was taken out by about 1,000 Co-operatives this morning from Jaladarshini Guest House to Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) Convocation Hall on Hunsur road here where a stage programme was held later.

The programme was organised by Karnataka State Soudharda Federal Co-operative Limited (KSSFCL). The Jatha was accompanied by folk troupes performing attractive dances in colourful costumes. The participating Co-operatives carried placards with messages on co-operative movement. A publicity tableau was also present indicating salient features of co-operative societies.

MLA G.T. Devegowda, District Co-operative Union President H.V. Rajeev, KSSFCL President B.H. Krishna Reddy, MCDCC Bank President G.D. Harish Gowda and others were present during the jatha.
