Bengaluru : Noted Bengaluru-based cartoonist B.V. Panduranga Rao has been recognised by the India Book of Records for creating environmental awareness through his collage of cartoons. He was awarded with a Certificate and a Medal.
Rao had created 34 coloured cartoons depicting the deterioration of environment by collaging it on a large sheet measuring 9 ft. x 5.4 ft. for which he worked 3 to 4 hours a day and took 40 days to achieve his target ‘Save Environment’.
Rao already holds 14 Limca Book of Records, 3 Unique World Records and World Amazing Record for his works. This is his 10th award in India Book of Records. His cartoons are exhibited frequently at International Cartoon Contests and has conducted 50 one-man show of his cartoons.
He will display the newly created artwork in his forthcoming exhibition in Bengaluru to bring environmental awareness among the masses through cartoons.
