College celebrates Sports Day

Base PU College had organised a flurry of track and field events like 100mts, 200mts, 400mts, 800mts, 1500mts, 4x100mts relay, high-jump, long-jump, javelin, shot-put and discus throw for both boys and girls to mark Sports Day celebrations at Chamundi Vihar Stadium in city recently.

The event was presided over by Sayeda Gauhar Sultana, Academic Head, BASE, Mysuru and Sangeetha Srinidhi, Principal BPC, Mysuru.

The day started with the flagging-off of the 800mts track event by the chief guest Krishna Murthy, a renowned teacher in physics with over three decades of teaching experience.

The entire teaching and non-teaching community of Base PU College, Mysuru, actively participated in organising various events to bring out the sporting talents of its students.
