Colonel (Retd.) V.L. Narayan (90), a resident of S.V. Residency in Vijayanagar 2nd Stage, passed away in the early hours of today at a private hospital in city. He leaves behind his wife Shankari, daughter Nalini, son Arun and a host of relatives and friends.

He was a Telecom/Computer Engineer and served in the Army Corps of Signals from 1953 to 1981. He was posted in Ladakh and later commanded regiments in various postings in North India. He later headed the Army HQ Computer division and had also worked for Multinational Companies such as Honeywell Bull as the General Manager and later at FICCI.

Last rites were held at Chirashanthidhama in Gokulam this afternoon.
