June 27, 2022

Mysore/Mysuru: Stating that he is committed for resolving ex-servicemen issues, JD(S) MLA C.N. Manjegowda has asked ex-servicemen to fight for their entitled rights.

He was speaking at the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Mysuru district unit of Akhila Karnataka Ex-Servicemen Association held at Nagamma  Kalyana Mantapa in Vivekanandanagar recently.

Maintaining that he is not an orator but an ex-serviceman, Manjegowda said that he only knows ‘Do or die.’ Regretting that ex-servicemen are an ignored lot now a days, the MLC said it has been inevitable for ex-servicemen to get their rights by staging protests.

Claiming that he would not compromise on ex-servicemen issues, he announced that he would strive for allotment of land at Hunsur and getting all other due benefits from the Government.

Taking credit for MUDA’s announcement of 50 percent rebate on property tax for ex-Servicemen, Manjegowda reiterated that he would also relentlessly strive for ensuring benefits even for widows of ex-servicemen.

Children of ex-servicemen who scored high marks in SSLC were honoured and Army men who had an outstanding service record were conferred with ‘Field Marshal K.M. Cariappa’ award on the occasion.

Ex-servicemen Association State President Dr. N.K. Shivanna, General Secretary  A.R. Ramesh, Mysuru District Unit President K.P. Diwakar, office-bearers M.K. Annegowda, S. Shivakumar, H.S. Nanjundaswamy,  K..E. Jeevan, Rajani Subbaiah, APEX Srinivas, Dinesh Kumar and others were present.
